Emory & Henry College was founded in 1836 and is one of only a few colleges whose campus is listed on the National Historic Register. Emory & Henry had not constructed a new building in over 30 years. EDC was first retained in 1997 to lead the College through development of McGlothlin-Street Hall, a 24,000 square foot renovation and 36,000 square foot laboratory addition to Gibson Hall. EDC has continued its relationship with Emory & Henry on six subsequent projects, including master planning the renovation and addition to Byars Hall, and the renovation of historic Wiley Hall.
