Rackspace desired to develop a new creative office environment for their Blacksburg location. Their existing space consisted of series of cobbled together small rooms which was not condusive to their work methods. Their existing lease expired in twelve months requiring an accelerated design and construction process to relocate them to the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. EDC created a design and construction team of AHV, SMBW, EC Pace and Avis Construction to complete the project in a twelve month period from design to occupancy.
