Built in 1962, the Mall St. Matthews was left with a vacant box in 2007 when Dillard’s vacated their space to relocate into an empty former Lord & Taylor box. In 2012, GGP redeveloped the wing by filling half the space with a Forever 21 store and demolishing the other half for a new ground-up 10 screen Cinemark theatre.  EDC completed the Cinemark XD 10 in May of 2013 and Mall St. Matthews is now over 1Mil SF and one of the preeminent shopping destina-tions in Louisville, KY.
