EDC completed a renovation project for NOVA of Virginia Aquatics in Richmond, Virginia, focused on transforming an unfinished second floor into a functional, high-use space supporting athletes, families, and spectators. The 24,325 square foot project added more than 800 seats, expanded meeting and gathering areas, and introduced a new swim shop  with a  future concession area

Construction took place within an active facility, requiring enhanced safety planning, careful sequencing, and close coordination across trades to avoid disruption to ongoing operations. The scope involved specialty buildouts and client-facing finishes, demanding attention to detail and execution quality throughout the renovation.

EDC worked closely with the client and design team to manage scope evolution, maintain schedule discipline, and deliver a clean, organized closeout. The completed space enhances the overall experience for swimmers and visitors while supporting NOVA Swimming’s operational and programmatic needs.
